Catch the Building Spirit & the Presbyterian Coalition (CTBS/PC) partners with Dayton Ohio Habitat for Humanity in order to provide decent, affordable homes in safe neighborhoods across Montgomery County.

Catch the Building Spirit (CTBS) was formed in 1986 by the Miami Valley Catholics.  In 1993, CTBS began working with the Presbyterian Coalition; each year over 20 Catholic parishes and 10 Presbyterian churches work together in the Dayton area to finance and build one new house for a family in need.

Each year, the CTBS/PC build begins around Memorial Day, continues throughout the summer, and is dedicated around Labor Day.  There are also volunteer opportunities with CTBS/PC throughout the winter.

CTBS/PC seeks to meet their Christian responsibility in a practical way by alleviating the substandard housing that affects 40% of our area's low-income urban households.  To learn more about Catch the Building Spirit and the Presbyterian Coalition, please visit the CTBS/PC website or contact Volunteer Services at  (937) 586-0860 ext. 16 for more information.
