Stephen Bell Elementary second graders raise money for Dayton Habitat for Humanity

The students at Stephen Bell Elementary in Bellbrook are learning about charities in Social Studies.  Chores for Charity is part of their economics unit. The second graders do extra chores at home and bring in the money to be given to Dayton Ohio Habitat for Humanity. This year they raised $192.50. They are taught about Habitat for Humanity through pictures of their teachers building houses the last 4 years.  Over 30 teachers in the district participated from Bellbrook. The children have a great enthusiasm for the project and their natural compassion shines through.
